Is JumpSport HSA/FSA eligible?Updated a month ago
Yes! Through our partnership with Truemed, you may be eligible to pay for your JumpSport purchase with your HSA/FSA.
FAQ's about Truemed
"How much will I save with Truemed?"
Customers using HSA/FSA funds save their income tax rate because they're paying with pre-tax dollars. Qualified customers save an average of 30%.
*Disclaimer: This is not a discount on your product/purchase. You will pay full price, and the savings come from the tax advantage of your HSA/FSA account. Our team is not able to provide quotes for a specific dollar amount, since the actual savings depends on your individual tax rate.
"I don't see the Truemed option at checkout"
This is one of the most common issues. There are a few likely causes:
- You are signed into Shop Pay. You'll need to log out and check out as a guest.
- The specific product hasn't been set up in Truemed's system yet.
- The product isn't eligible for HSA/FSA coverage.
- You are shopping on a third-party site (Amazon, Best Buy, etc.) instead of our direct site. Truemed only works on the JumpSport website.
If you are checking out as a guest on jumpsport.com and believe the product should be eligible, please reach out to [email protected] with the product name for further assistance.
"Where is my Letter of Medical Necessity?"
After completing the clinical intake form, you should receive a LMN via your Truemed dashboard at truemed.com. Most LMNs are issued within a few hours, though it can take up to 1-2 business days.
If you haven't received your LMN, try the following:
1. Log into your Truemed dashboard to check the status.
2. Check your spam or junk folder for emails from Truemed.
3. Make sure you completed the full clinical intake form (it may have timed out or been left incomplete).
If none of that resolves it, please contact [email protected].
"Why wasn't I approved?"
Eligibility is determined by an independent clinician based on the health information you provided. For questions about your qualification outcome, please contact [email protected].
"My HSA/FSA card was declined"
Card declines can be an issue with the customer's card or account, not with Truemed. Common causes include insufficient balance, an inactive or expired card, daily spending limits, or the card issuer not recognizing the merchant.
Try these steps below:
- Check their HSA/FSA account balance.
- Confirm their card is activated and not expired.
- Contact their card issuer to ask about the decline reason.
- Pay with a regular card instead, then submit for reimbursement using their LMN and receipt.
If the issue persists, please contact [email protected].
"Can I use my HSA/FSA on a subscription?"
Yes, but subscriptions follow the 'reimbursement flow.'
- You pay for the subscription with a regular card
- Complete the qualification survey
- And then submit your LMN and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. The same LMN covers recurring charges for up to 12 months.
"Why is only part of my order eligible?"
Some products are only partially eligible. This happens when a product includes features beyond what's considered medically necessary (for example, a mattress with premium cooling technology). Truemed calculates the eligible portion using a comparable item approach, and your LMN and receipt will show the breakdown.
In this instance, you pay full price and can submit the eligible portion for HSA/FSA reimbursement. If you have any questions about the specific amounts, please contact [email protected].
"Can I split my payment between my HSA/FSA card and a regular card?"
Yes. Truemed's Split Pay feature lets you divide a single order across your HSA/FSA card and a regular credit or debit card. This is useful when a your HSA/FSA balance doesn't quite cover the full order, or when the order includes a mix of eligible and ineligible items. Split Pay is available for one-time purchases only, not subscriptions.
"How do I get reimbursed?"
If You paid with a regular debit or credit card (not a HSA/FSA card), they you can submit your LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity) and purchase receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. This process varies by administrator, but generally involves logging into the administrator's portal, navigating to the claims section, and uploading both documents.
*Disclaimer: Our team can not walk you through administrator-specific steps. If you need help with the reimbursement process, please contact [email protected].
"I don't have an HSA/FSA account"
Truemed is only available to customers with an HSA or FSA account. If a you do not have one, please check with your employer's HR or benefits department about enrollment options, typically during open enrollment. Truemed
cannot help customers open or fund an HSA/FSA account.
"What if I return my item?"
Paid with HSA/FSA Card: If the customer paid with an HSA/FSA card, the refund returns to that card. HSA/FSA refunds can take longer to process than standard bank refunds. If a customer hasn’t received their refund after 15 business days, please contact your HSA/FSA card issuer.
Paid with regular Credit or Debit Card: If you paid with a regular credit or debit card, the refund follows JumpSport's standard RMA process.
"What happens to my LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity) after a refund?"
Once a refund is issued, your LMN is no longer valid for that specific transaction. However, the LMN itself remains active for the duration of its 12-month validity period. If you make a new qualifying purchase within that window, the existing LMN still applies. For additional questions regarding your LMN, please contact [email protected].
